My son was presenting a paper at a conference in Vienna and wondered if I wanted to go with him.

I had never been to Vienna before but had been brushing up on my Duolingo German for a few hundred days, so I felt fully prepared to ask where the toilets are and how much the dress costs.

The city of Vienna feels like a 1:1 scale model of itself, a full-scale replica of Vienna of old. It’s beautiful and fun to walk around in.
